Who Are We? 

Concert Corps Co-Founders Bobby Kessling and Matt Wilhelm met while serving their country as AmeriCorps members with City Year New Hampshire.  Matt wanted to serve in the state where he grew up.  Bobby wanted to serve while seeing more of the country outside his native Texas.  Both were inspired by the mission of City Year – that committed young people can change the world.  Both happened to love music.  They found they weren't especially unique.

Bobby has been making music since middle school - in bands and choirs at each stage of his life. After finishing college in the "live music capital of the world" (Austin), Bobby's view of life was changed by his experience in AmeriCorps. He realized that each person has a responsibility to cultivate and sustain the things in life they value most. So he joined the Board of the chorus he sings with, the Manchester Choral Society, to help support the music made by and in his own community.

Matt began his college career downloading music from Napster and catching rides with friends to clubs, festivals, and college concerts throughout the Northeast nearly every weekend.  He took a semester off from school and helped film the 2002 Dispatch rockumentary Under the Radar and has been involved in building grassroots community amongst live music fans in a variety of capacities ever since.
